About Merge PDF
Merge PDF combines two or more PDF files into one document directly in your browser, with no upload. It's a free PDF merger online to join PDF files in the order you choose, including when you need to combine PDF files from different sources — a scanned signature page, a cover letter and a contract — or ship monthly reports as one packet. Drop in your files, drag them into order, and the merged PDF downloads to your device.
Some online PDF mergers process files on a remote server. This tool does not: the entire merge runs in your browser with pdf-lib, and no network request carries your file anywhere. Each source PDF is parsed locally, its pages copied into a new in-memory document, and the result downloaded. It keeps working if your connection drops mid-task, and there is no upload size cap.
Reordering is drag-and-drop, with up/down buttons as a keyboard- and screen-reader-friendly alternative. It works in a current browser on Windows, macOS, Linux and ChromeOS with no install. Once the order is right, one click merges and downloads — no page limit, no watermark, no signup. Merging copies page content rather than recompressing it, so text and images keep their original quality; some interactive form fields or bookmarks may not carry over.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are my PDFs uploaded when I merge them?
No. The files are parsed and merged locally in your browser; no file data is sent to a server. You can confirm this in your browser's Network panel — the merge does not create an upload request.
Does merging reduce PDF quality?
No recompression is applied. Page content, text and images are copied into the merged document, so visual quality stays the same, and the merged size is roughly the sum of the sources. Some interactive forms or bookmarks may not carry over.
Can I merge PDFs on Windows or Mac without installing software?
Yes. Open this page in a current browser on Windows, macOS, Linux or ChromeOS, add the PDFs, reorder them, and download. No installation or account is required.
Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
Not directly — an encrypted PDF needs to be unlocked first. Run it through the Protect & Unlock PDF tool with the correct password, then merge the resulting unlocked file.
Does merging preserve bookmarks, links and form fields?
Page content, images and text are preserved exactly. Some PDF-specific extras like interactive form fields or internal bookmarks from the original files may not carry over, since the tool focuses on combining page content.
Is there a limit to how many PDFs I can merge?
No hard limit is enforced by the tool. In practice you're bound only by your device's available memory, since every file is processed in your browser rather than on a server.
